DUNGENESS IN BLACK AND WHITE

leave a comment »

I’d been to Dungeness when I was 8 with my mum to visit Derek Jarman’s house on an attempt at a family outing. Why anyone would of lived there I have no idea. I’d forgotten about the place, until Me, Sam, Niall and Kaela found ourselves lost on a countryside road on our way to Rye. We were in the middle of nowhere, and I completely by coincedence ended up directing us to Dungeness. Perhaps I’d remembered the way from going there as a kid, I don’t know. It is one of the most surreal places I’ve ever been too. Bleak, desolate, empty. I’m on my way to make a short visual about the area, Here are some 35mm shots I took on my Praktica.

FOREST PROJECT #1

The beginning of an ongoing project about people’s relationships with forests. These are a few of my favourites from my first series of my dad in Epping. More photographs and footage to come.
